Stop RWM und ihr Kampf gegen Rheinmetall

Seit Jahren kämpft die Kampagne Stop RWM (Rheinmetall Waffe Munition) auf Sardinien gegen die Bombenfabrik der RWM Italia S.p.A. in den südsardischen Gemeinden Iglesias und Domusnovas. Diese Fabrik hat auch in den bundesweiten Medien viel Aufmerksamkeit erregt, nachdem herauskam, dass dort produzierte Bomben im Krieg im Jemen eingesetzt werden. Derzeit baut die Tochtergesellschaft des Rüstungskonzerns Rheinmetall AG die Bombenfabrik und ein Testgelände für die dort hergestellten Rüstungsprodukte aus. Die Produktion soll um das Dreifache gesteigert werden. Auch wenn die italienische Regierung nun bereits erteilte Lizenzen widerrufen hat und Saudi-Arabien und den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten keine neuen Lizenzen mehr erteilt, geht der Kampf zivilgesellschaftlicher Gruppen gegen die Produktion von Rüstungsgütern weiter. Die Kampagne Stop RWM berichtet über ihre Aktionsformen, ihre Klage gegen die illegalen Baugenehmigungen der RWM Italia S.p.A. vor dem Verwaltungsgericht der Region Sardinien, über Repression und wie ihr Kampf gegen die Bombenfabrik in den nächsten Monaten aussehen wird. IMI Lädt Ein: Stop RWM and their struggle against Rheinmetall

For years, the Stop RWM (Rheinmetall Waffe Munition) campaign in Sardinia has been fighting against the bomb factory of RWM Italia S.p.A. in the southern Sardinian municipalities of Iglesias and Domusnovas. This factory has also received a lot of attention in the national media after it came out that bombs produced there are being used in the war in Yemen. Currently, the subsidiary of the arms giant Rheinmetall AG is expanding its bomb factory and a test site for the armament products manufactured there. Production is to be increased threefold. Even though the Italian government has now revoked licences already granted and continues not to issue new ones to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the struggles of civil society groups against the production of armaments continue. The Stop RWM campaign reports on their forms of action, their lawsuit against the illegal building permits of RWM Italia S.p.A. before the administrative court of the Sardinia region, repression and what their struggle against the bomb factory will look like in the coming months.
