Das den US-Demokraten nahestehende „Center for a New American Security“ veröffentlichte den Bericht „Disarming the Bomb: Distilling the Drivers and Disincentives for Iran’s Nuclear Program“. In ihm wird recht unverhohlen gefordert, die US-Regierung solle dem Iran mit einem Regimesturz drohen: „U.S. leaders should consider sending private messages to Iran’s political and military leaders indicating ist resolve to see them removed from power should they not abandon the nuclear program.“ (jw)
