Die USA haben in Südkorea 28.500 Soldaten stationiert. Laut Stars and Stripes verlangen die USA nun von Südkorea für einen deutlich größeren Teil der Kosten aufzukommen: „South Korean media have reported that the Trump administration has sought a fivefold increase to about $5 billion a year by including funding for the deployment of bombers and other strategic assets in addition to the traditional labor costs.“ (jw)
