Vor nicht allzu langer Zeit gab US-Außenminister Tillerson an, es sei Sache der syrischen Bevölkerung, ob Machthaber Assad abgesetzt würde. Nun jedoch scheint er wieder umgeschwenkt zu sein. Antiwar.com zitiert ihn mit den Worten “[t]he reign of the Assad family is coming to an end. The only issue is how that should that be brought about.” (jw)
