(Militär-)Haushalt Südsudans

»Radio Tamazuj« zufolge habe das Parlament des Südsudans für das kommende Jahr massive Ausgaben für „security services and the military“ genehmigt. Demnach werde der Sicherheitssektor 4,58 Mrd. SSP (South Sudanese Pound) des 10,3 Mrd. SSP umfassenden Haushalts erhalten. Zusätzlich würden „state governments, counties and special administrative areas“ etwas über 1 Mrd. SSP und „the rule of law sector“ werde weitere 1,5 Mrd. SSP bekommen. Im Gegensatz dazu seien im neuen Haushalt für den Bereich „education and health“ 677 Mio. SSP bzw. 316 Mio. SSP vorgesehen, was ungefähr „15% and 7% of the security budget“ entspreche. Etwa 185 Mio. SSP gingen in den Bereich Infrastruktur (wovon 88 Mio. SSP für Straßen und Brücken und 33 Mio. SSP für den Bereich Transport eingestellt seien).
