Während vor allem in den USA von verschiedenen Stellen hysterisch davor gewarnt wird, China sei in der Lage und insbesondere auch Willens, Taiwan militärisch einzunehmen, ist der US-Generalstabschef vergleichsweise entspannt, wie antiwar.com berichtet: „Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley said Wednesday that the US military ‚absolutely‘ has the capability to defend Taiwan from China, although he does not believe a Chinese invasion will happen anytime soon.“ (jw)
