Schon vor einiger Zeit hatte Blackwater-Gründer Eric Prince versucht, sich als lukrativen Auftrag die Übernahme des Afghanistan-Krieges durch eine Söldnerarmee an Land zu ziehen (siehe IMI-Standpunkt 2017/27). Nun soll er The Hil zufolge einen erneuten Anlauf unternehmen: Erik Prince, the founder of the private security firm formerly known as Blackwater, is making a new pitch for his proposal to turn U.S. combat operations in Afghanistan over to mercenaries.
