Das NATO-Verteidigungskolleg veröffentlichte eine Analyse, in der gefordert wird, die NATO müsse zur Terrorbekämpfung künftig auch weiter südlich als „nur“ in der MENA-Region (Nordafrika/Mittelost) aktiv wird: “NATO cannot afford to reduce its Southern Flank to a geographically delimited MENA region. Terrorists are not stopping at the Sahel, and neither should NATO’s efforts to address them.” (jw)
